How I Stick to My Fitness Routine (Even When I Don't Want To)
I don't know about you, but I've been stuffing my face full of whatever Halloween candy I can get my hands on. It's becoming a problem *types as I have three empty mini Snickers wrappers next to my computer*
It's nearing that time of year again. The sit on the couch, wrapped in a blanket cocoon, and watch an entire season on Netflix time of year. The 'have to unbutton your pants after family holiday dinners' time of year. The 'sweatpants are all that fits me right now' time of year. And around that time of year, it's easy to lose track of our fitness goals. I'm for sure guilty of that!
BUT all hope is not lost! A few hacks that help me get my butt to the gym: download a show from Netflix or your favorite podcast and only allow yourself to watch/listen while on the treadmill, schedule a workout class (I pay in advance so I HAVE to go), and I also get myself so new workout clothes because the right yoga pant/sports bra combo makes me feel like a total badass (even though I only have tiny baby muscles).
This new gym gear especially has me feeling like I could climb every step on every stair climber, ellipt every elliptical, and row the length of two Nile-sized imaginary rivers on my stationary rowing machine. These pants even make me excited to do burpees! And I don't know anyone who was ever excited for burpees.
