I love the idea of winter. Drinking a mug full of marshmallows and hot chocolate, while looking out the window at snow covered mountains. Wood crackling from the fireplace over Christmas music.
We'll just forget that 99% of winter is digging cars out of snow piles, and dealing with cracked noses from sniffles. And the true marshmallow is actually me hiding under layers of clothes.
I decided to dedicate this post to a cute outfit that also hides the fact that all I've been doing the last 72 hours is eating mashed potatoes and pumpkin chocolate chip cookies.
Nothing screams winter clothes more to me than a shearling-lined plaid flannel jacket. Casual here, but just imagine with a black pant and heels for a night out. Yes, please! And the coat is insulated just enough that it's not too puffy, but still keeps you warm!
For the last month and a half, these studded loafers have basically been superglued to my feet, they are so stinking comfy! It feels like I'm wearing slippers in public and am getting away with it. Plus, easy peasy for any traveling and the dreaded shoe-off TSA lines.
Studs are clearly my other go-to lately, because I'm obsessed with this big buckle studded belt. With gold and silver, it goes with pretty much anything!
