Sneaking into Woodstock

My uniform pretty much all of high school consisted of band tees and black Chucks, and while my style may have evolved a bit I still love a good graphic tee. Especially one that has meaning to me.

On a weekend getaway to Woodstock, NY not too long ago, I was searching for the perfect souvenir to remember the trip. While fridge magnets are the go-to, I stumbled upon a guitar shop which also happened to see the coolest pinned shirts. (Sidenote: if you ever have the chance to go to Woodstock, go. It's the craziest time warp of a town. Everyone who lives there is so friendly, and the town is so quaint, and if you leave your Apple Watch at home you'll probably forget what decade you're in.)

But back to 2018, and the point of this post. Pairing an ol' shirt you love with a piece like this studded corduroy sherpa jacket instantly elevates the easy look, while still giving off cool girl vibes. Leather skirt and suede booties too? Damn, lookin' cooler than a Bomb Cyclone (if you're on the East Coast right now, you get it).

But for reals. I love the mixing of fabrics and textures in this outfit, while still feeling completely put together. Obviously, you will fair better in a pair of tights or changing the look a bit for some leather leggings if you are in sub zero temps, BUT think of this as a little wardrobe inspo. Or bookmark it in your brain for the eventual days of late winter when you don't get frostbite just from looking at the weather app on your phone.

What I'm Wearing

Jacket: Navy Corduroy Sherpa Zip Up or a similar $38 option (that even comes 5 colors!)

Top: graphic tees Woodstock, Rolling Stone, Star Wars

Skirt: similar Black Faux Leather Pleated mini or Tan Suede Mini (such a steal!) or this $17 Corduroy Mini

Stay warm my friends! And as always, I love hearing your thoughts on Twitter as well as what else you want to see on the blog. xx
